Travel forward and then travel backwards

So far, the travel process on our second journey has been quite interesting yet exasperating! We spent a great deal of time in early May mapping out our trip with stops in such exciting locales as Seoul, Shenyang, Guangzhou and Singapore. We had tickets purchased and flights confirmed and had bags partially packed, then H1N1 hit the States and traveled overseas causing great concern everywhere. Unfortunately, due to the pandemnic scare, the our Chinese province of Liaoning decided that May was not the right time to be traveling to adopt children and we were forced to completely cancel and postpone our trip, which was quite depressing!!

We are now in the tentative date planning stage again with our "new" dates of June 18th - July 2nd for our China travel. I must say that normally I don't feel too comfortable planning a massive international trip in two weeks or less, but we have quickly become experts at quick and rapid decisions in terms of hotels and flights. It's the "just do it" attitude! Charlie and I are really looking forward to seeing how much stamina that we really have to keep up with our two little boys in tow with us through planes, trains and automobiles as we traverse the world. Right now, we are deciding how "light" we can really pack so that Charlie can carry only 3-4 bags and two strollers while I keep my eye on the two little guys! We may need to hire temporary porters to follow us through our journey (or else Charlie will definitely need that new hip much sooner vs. later!!)
