Introducing Dylan Fuxu Lockhead

This is our tale of our adoption journey of two sons.

Back in December 2006, we were blessed to have adopted our first son, Kyle Aitao Lockhead, who was adopted from the FengCheng SWI in Jiangxi at the age of 15 months. His wonderful journey to us can be found on our first blog at http://www.lockheads.blogspot.com/

Now, we have been blessed a second time and are pleased to announce and introduce you to our second son, Dylan Fuxu Lockhead.

After having a wonderful and amazing year at home with Kyle, in January 2008, we started the process to adopt a second child from China. As time progressed over the year, much of the adoption process changed significantly so in August of 2008, we decided to take a different route and review the files of several "Waiting Children" in China, who also were desparately in need of loving homes and care. Late in January of 2009, we found a special little boy who quickly attached himself to our hearts. We quickly filed all of our necessary paperwork and in mid-March, we were ultimately matched with another amazing little boy named Qian Fuxu.

Fuxu was born on February 21, 2006. He was found at the Shengbin Community of Jinzhou Bus Station in Dalian City (Liaoning Province) and then sent to the Social Welfare Institute of Dalian City to be raised. In January 2007, Fuxu was lucky enough to be placed with a loving foster family in Wafangdian City, Dalian, where he has continued to live until our adoption of him.

Fuxu has been described by his caretakers as bright and kind-hearted, active and clever. He also loves sweet foods (just like the rest of our family!)

Fuxu is approximately 5 months younger than Kyle and Kyle cannot wait to meet his new "twin" brother. He has so many new and exciting things planned for him.
